It would be useful if there was a big database of Christian resources. So many supposedly unbiased, objective internet monopolies are hostile to Christianity. What if there was a conclusive database that collected as much history, theology, and the like as possible, while also warning away from false teachings. As a plus, make it work like the sites with the entire Bible on them, but weigh the pros and cons of each translation.

The problem would be approaching resources that denominations disagree on. Would there be different databases for each denomination, or an analysis of each denomination and their views?

Except that this is just a thread for sharing Christian resources. That would be a huge undertaking regarding things I'm not an authority on, so I'm not equipped to do so. I suppose it doesn't have to just be old stuff, any sites or media focused on Christian content can also be shared here. Also I just took these images from /christian/, I'm not positive on everything in them.

Do you like it when someone belittles you? Then why do you do it to others; Jesus says in Matthew 7:12, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets". Attack their arguments don't attack the person, even if they all are literally the stereotypical neckbeard(most of them aren't) just ignore that attribute. Even if they do verbally attack you, reflect the love of Jesus and love them just as you would love your neighbor.

All things work together for the good of Christians. At the same time, tragedies occur. It is regrettable that abortion occurs. It is not a good act, and it would be better if any mother did not murder her baby.

What's the proper meaning of this verse?

Properly understood, is it saying that all events, good or bad, have a sanctifying impact on the Christian?

The Bible reports that there was a separate head cloth in the empty tomb

The shroud is inauthentic

the Eternal Word became flesh at a point in time. Does this mean that, the second Person of the Trinity (He who is eternal and CANNOT change) allowed "time" (something He created) to change His nature?

bfed36  No.3249

How do you define nature?

3e5917  No.3253

His humanity did not exist before the incarnation, unless the theophanies are, indeed, Christ Jesus.

bb63ca  No.3257

They are, but that doesn't answer the question

3e5917  No.3266

So the theophanies are the post-incarnate Word, the Second Person of the Trinity? So His Incarnation gave Him a human body eternally?

af2544  No.3268

The theophanies are pre-incarnate. His resurrection body is also different, maybe the same as he was in the theophanies.

My main argument is that taking on human form in the old testament did not involve taking on human nature, which he did when born as a baby.

How can God be the sole actor in calling someone to himself? If it's entirely up to God and not the individual to accept or reject the gospel, how is God just?

Is this a fundamental flaw of calvinism or am I missing something?

4c84f2  No.3246

That is indeed a fundamental flaw in Calvinism and no, you aren't missing something except the parts in the Bible that directly contradict and falsify Calvinism.

Your problem is solved by dumping attempts to believe in Calvinism.

229b16  No.3247

I grew up in a liberal household in a liberal part of America; I was raised a christian by my parents whom I love.

I don't hate anyone and I certainly don't hate anyone for their race but one thing that angers me deep down is race-mixing. I don't necessarily see miscegenation as a bad thing but ever single multi-racial couple at my school is pretty much a black dude with a white girl almost without fail. This wouldn't be bad if the couples were a bit more "diverse" but no, deep down I probably hate these people but I want to love them just as God loves me.

Anyone have any advise on how I can deal with this?

in truth there is no such thing a racial mixing. race is a social construct. not biological. therefore skin tone can never really be a real indicator of race. knowing that it is a scientific fact by now that race actually does not exist it might be easier to accept other peoples relationship choices.

8chan created by hotwheels in October

/christian/ created in September

Alex is the owner. He's a Southern Baptist.

Views on moderation: "I am personally a Baptist, and will defend my views as a poster, but dialogue and points made from other perspectives won't be deleted."

The board reaches 6,000 posts by the end of the year.

The 8chan site has some outages and breaks in November as development progresses.

/christian/ IRC channel couples the board

Alex remains BO

Board hits 238,000 posts by the end of the year.

/christianity/ created in February

BO cites perception of censorship on /christian/ as the cause.

"I noticed /christian/ had a lot of censorship so I'm starting a new board. I promise not to delete anything simply because I disagree."

Dead board. 154 posts by the end of the year.

/christ/ is created in April. It had some activity prior in 2014, but was somehow deleted or lost and the new first post is 4/19/15.

Rules: "This board is for Christians of all denominations; that being said, people of other religions, agnostics, and atheists, are very welcome to post, ask questions, and debate with us if they so desire. Spam will be deleted. This board is also SFW."

Board log is made available and stickied at top.

The board reaches 8,800 posts by the end of the year.

Scrolled down the board catalog and noticed it broke the top 50 mark. One more UID onto the list, so it'll probably tick up just a bit higher. It seems nice here; I sort of stopped using /christian/ for much of anything other than maybe the prayer thread; perhaps it was the fault of some odious spirit hanging over the place, but I've never been a good judge of such matters.

Happy Easter!

The fact that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day is our only hope. If you are redeemed, you will have a resurrection body. We will be resurrected by the power of Christ.

>12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

>13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;

>14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.

>15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.

>16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;

>17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.

>18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

>19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.

>We are by definition supernaturalists, believing in the spiritual realm.

While esoteric stuff happens only on the mind with no effect on anything in reality, God's work manifests in the actual physical realm, while being explained away as "accident" or "coincidence" by non-believers.

This is the difference between various "magic" teachings (usually involving drugs), which at most give you hallucinations and the actual truth (Christianity).
